I learned React so I could join the team building ClickUp Chat. It was a new product area, and the features and designs were changing quickly. Our small, scrappy team built a feature-loaded chat experience that rivals established products like Slack.

I played a big part in ClickUp's Inbox UI as the team rebuilt it from the ground up in 2023. I worked on redesigned conversations, tabs, filters, keyboard shortcuts, loading skeletons, and much more.

I helped establish and launch ClickUp's design system in 2022. Some of its earliest components, like Button, have now been used more than 4,000 times across the codebase.

I also worked on modernizing color theming, typography and dark mode, and authored guidance to help teams use components well.

I designed a custom experience of an external credit score service into a banking app. I designed and coded a score visualization using SVG and JavaScript.

I conducted exploratory research about credit scores that revealed a wide array of complex emotions depending on their score. This lead to design where I connected each member to score-relevant services and education provided by the credit union in order to help them feel supported and empowered.

I designed a rewards history page to give visibility to cash-back earnings, and to show how rewards were accumulated and spent.

Research revealed initial user confusion about how dollars spent are converted to points earned, so great care was taken to make this aspect clear and easy to understand.

My dear friend had just started a CSA at her small Iowa farm. She wanted a website to facilitate signups and weekly announcements, but with minimal monthly overhead.

This site features my own custom branding, fetches announcements from Google Sheets, and facilitates signups through Google Forms.
